Al Holmes
The family of Al is sad to announce his passing on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, ON, in his 81st year.
Allison Archibald Holmes was the beloved husband of Anita Coburn. Loving father of Jeannine Holmes of Toronto and Stephen Holmes of Hampton. Predeceased by siblings Dixon, Wilfred, Oliver, Lloyd, Donald, Albert, Richard and Irma McVeigh. Dear brother-in-law of Bill and Susanne Wiese. Fondly remembered by 31 nieces and nephews.
Al was born in P.E.I. and a retired high school teacher with Toronto District School Board. Long time resident of Leaside, moving to his cottage on Balsam Lake in 2010.
A memorial service will be held from Fenelon Falls United Church, 123 Colborne Street, Fenelon Falls on Friday, August 31, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment later at Fenelon Falls Cemetery.
As a remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ross Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
