Rosemarie MacDonald
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Souris Hospital, on Monday, September 3, 2012 of Rosemarie MacDonald (nee MacLean) of Little Pond, aged 71 years.
Born in Cardigan North on July 3, 1941, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary MacLean. Rosemarie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie, and seven children: David (Darlene) of Halifax, Robbie (Betty), Nancy (Bill Loo), Kent (Catherine), Gary (Marla), Michael (Lori Ann) - all of Little Pond and Mark (Janice) of Cornwall. Rosemarie was known as "Grammy" to 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth MacLean (Jocelyn) of Cardigan, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Rosemarie served in the P.E.I. Legislature for the 5th District of Kings from July 11, 1988 until November of 1996.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, P.E.I., for visitation on Wednesday, September 5, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, at St. Francis deSales Parish, Little Pond, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
