Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in the arms of her loving family on Saturday, September 1, 2012, Mary Theresa van Nostrand, aged 81 years. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Florence (nee Lee); sisters: Bridget and Kathleen and brother, Herbie. Survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert; sons: Edward (Krista) and Timothy; daughters: Catherine, Lisa and Andrea; grandchildren: Christian and Anna; sisters: Vera and Florence as well as many nieces, nephews and her beloved “Club Girls”. The family wish to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for all their wonderful care. Visitation took place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, September 3rd, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.
