It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of our son, brother and grandson, J.R. McLellan on Sept. 5, 2012.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of John Leonard and Patty (McMullin) McLellan.
As a young boy J.R. attended St. Agnes School. He was a very outgoing and athletic boy with a caring nature. As an adult he worked as a heavy machine operator. In J.R.’s short life he made a lot of friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers, Jackson and Nevin; grandparents, John ‘Doughboy’ and Lorraine McLellan; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Roderick and Sarah ‘Pic’ McMullin.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass to celebrate J.R.’s life will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in Lingan Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the parish hall, Convent Street.
