Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on September 5, 2012, EDNA FLORENCE SIMMONS, age 73, of Hickman’s Harbour. Predeceased by parents William and Theodosia Duffitt; husband Harold; son Keith; grand-daughter Sarah; brothers Walter (Sophie), Willis (Ethel), Stuart (Joyce); and sisters Dorothy (Art) and Mereda. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, son Bruce (Joy); daughters Valda (John), Donna (Rex), Tina (Rick), and Tracy (Lorne); grandchildren Crystal, Wendy, Tyler, Ryan, Andrew, Ashley, Laura, Shawn, Katelyn, Kyle, and Curtis; two great-grandchildren Kayla and Cody, sisters, Amy (Hedley March) and Jean (Oliver Ivany). Also leaving to mourn are Wanda, Jordan, and a large circle of family and friends. The funeral service, officiated by Captain Reid Colbourne and Major Phyllis Blundell-Colbourne took place on Sunday, September 9, 2012, from the Salvation Army, Hickman’s Harbour, with interment following.
