HARDING, (MacKenzie) Lillian May, 91 of Lockeport passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, N.S. Born in East Green Harbour, May 16, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Alexander Ross and Josephine (Farrington) MacKenzie. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially caring for many of her grandchildren over the years. They were all special to her. She enjoyed long walks with friends and family and was kind and friendly to all who knew her. She is survived by sons George, Nakusp, B.C., William (Dawn) Little Harbour Road, daughters, Linda Moulson, Maisie Murphy, Shirley (Robert) Turner, Greta (Doug) Lair, Mary (Cyril) Meagher, Lockeport, Nancy (Harold) Muise, Beaver River, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews all who loved her dearly and will sorely miss her. She was predeceased by her husband Baines, daughter Jane, brothers Albert, Murray, Dexter, Roland, Chesley, sisters Grace and Hazel. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Ltd., Lockeport. No visitation by request. A memorial service will take place Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Anglican Church, Lockeport with Rev. Norma Mitchell officiating. Interment in Osborne Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Osborne Cemetery Co., CNIB or to a charity of choice.
