The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, of Florence Deagle (nee Montgomery), in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Deagle. Loving mother of Melinda (John) Nolan, Alvin (Doris) Deagle, Venita (Peter) Kowerchuk, Mary (Richard) Dixon, Anne (Richard) Lutz and John (Louise) Deagle. Fondly remembered by 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Survived by brother, Joseph (Brenda) Montgomery, and sister, Bertha MacCormack, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, James Montgomery and Theophita Boisvenue, son, Gerard, daughter, Theresa, brothers, Kenneth, John, A.J., and sisters, Philomen Gallant and Mary Anne Barrett. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday evening, Jan. 19, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, Jan. 20, 2010, to St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. If so desired memorials may be made in Florence’s memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Association would be appreciated.
