RICH, MARY GERALDINE nee SAAB - Surrounded by her family and close friend, Geri passed away peacefully at the age of 74 after 4 year battle with ALS. Predeceased by parents Mae Blanchard and Frank Saab, mother and father-in-law Elinor and Robert Rich, brother-in-law Bob Rich. She leaves behind husband Dennis; children John (Sonya), Tony (Lisa), Rosalyn (Daniel), Paul (Danica); six grandchildren, Amanda, Robin, Jacob, Bailey, Danik, Jack, who she loved more than life and they adored their “Sity”. Also survived by brothers and sister-laws, Jane Rich, Ronny (Donna), Kenny (Carla) Linda (Wally), Kevin (Susan), Bruce (Maureen); many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also her cousin Valda, who was like a sister to her. Geri was born in 1938 in Rustico Ville Prince Edward Island. Raised in Prince Edward Island and Saint John NB until meeting the love of her life Dennis Rich of the RCMP. They married and moved to Aylmer Quebec and raised four children. Stay at home Mom for 14 years worked at time Communications for 19 years. Dennis and Geri retired to Calabogie, Renfrew County where they lived for the last 17 years. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Carling Chapel 2313 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K2B 7G3 613-828-2313 Thursday, September 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Christian service to be preformed by Father Pat Blake at Most Precious Blood Parish in Calabogie, Saturday, September 22nd at 11am. Reception at the Calabogie community hall. Followed by burial at Calabogie with Family and Friends. In lieu of flowers donations appreciated to the ALS Society of Canada.
