Sharon Rudderham

Passed in: SYDNEY, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: September 16th, 2012

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Sharon Rudderham, 48, mourn her passing on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at home, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
Sharon was the daughter of Wilson Rudderham and the late Katherine (MacMurdo) Rudderham.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, nanny and friend. To many she will be remembered as a fun loving and easygoing spiritual individual with her quick wit and smile who always had a joke for everyone. Even through her battle with cancer Sharon faced each day with a smile and positive outlook. Sharon loved playing cards, particularly tarabish and canasta. She was an avid bingo and dart player. For many years she was a member of the Goodwill Mixed Dart League. Sharon also truly enjoyed her trips to the country with the “Sisterhood.” For 14 years, she was employed at Wendy’s Restaurant where she made many friends. Most recently, she was employed with the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Sharon is survived by her spouse, Louis Johnson; her children, Rodney L. Rudderham (Sharon) and Stella D. Rudderham (Jerry); her granddaughter, Gemma and expected grandson, Ethan.
Besides her father, Wilson Rudderham (Raylene George), she is survived by her brothers, Ron (Sharon), Roger (Bev), Rodney (Janet), Mark (Angie); sisters, her twin, Shelley (Brad) and Kathie Landon (Marco); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Coats for Kids.”
