HATHAWAY, D. MAXINE (1926 - 2012) - The death of Doris Maxine Hathaway of Beechwood occurred on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born November 17, 1926 in Riley Brook she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Beatrice (Parish) Trafton and wife of the late Lewis Hathaway. She was also predeceased by infant son, Allen; daughter, Shirley; two grandsons, Duane and Lauren; one brother, Walter. Maxine is survived by her son, Dale Hathaway (Marlene), special friend, Leigh Everett; five grandchildren, Rebecca and Ethan Hathaway, Gary Schriver (Jackie), Tony Schriver (Maggie Csori) and Raynold Haines (Bobbie O'Donnell); two brothers, Douglas Trafton (Sandra) and Carl Trafton (Pearl); five sisters Beattie Akkerman (Joe), Barb Bragdon, Florence Aldrich-Trafton, Marilyn Keating (Larry) and Carolyn Clark (Eugene) and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:00 am from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Brian Barron will officiate. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery. Donations made to the Wharton Cemetery or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
