Born June 1st, 1955 in Trail, B.C. Passed away September 19th, 2012 in Vancouver, B.C.
Doug was raised in Kamloops and graduated from KSS in 1973. He was an avid reader, writer, a poet and certainly an untapped intellectual. After high school he worked for the CPR for 17 years, while he very much enjoyed the people of CPR, he was never fond of the corporation and left the company in 1990 to search for a new life.
The search over the last 22 years took Doug on an interesting ride through many hills and valleys. During most of this period Doug worked on the financing of junior mining companies on the TSX-V as a self described "professional optimist". While Doug never did strike it rich in his life of finance he did see a lot of the world in an interesting fashion and left us with few regrets and lots of stories.
Left behind to mourn Doug's passing are his wife Theresa, his daughter Jeseka, his mother Irene (Joe), his stepmother Dorothy, his brothers Don and David (Tracey) and his sister Leanna (Fred).
Doug was predeceased by son Marlon, his father Robert John and his best friend Richard Christianson. All can now weave tall tales and play tricks through until we all met again.
A Celebration of Doug's life will take place at a future date.
