We, the family of Charlene MacDonald regret to announce her passing at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.
Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Elizabeth Ruth ‘Tuddy’ (Coakley) MacDonald. She was a member of St. Stephen's parish, Florence. Charlene was a lab technologist, working in research at Dalhousie University, until she retired due to ill health. She was a kind and giving person who will be remembered for her strong sense of family and friendships.
She is survived by her brother, Brian (Marie) and their children, Shane, Janelle and Dana; her sister-in-law, Pearl (the late Dal MacDonald) and their children, Lori Lee and Paul.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dal.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, Florence, with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlene's memory may be made to the Liver Foundation.
