HUSHARD (Rogers), Joan Marion, 66, March 31,1946-October 2, 2012
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Roseway Hospital as a result of her battle with cancer and other health issues. Born March 31, 1946 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Earl and Margaret Lillian (Goodick) Rogers of Shelburne. Joan was a woman with impeccable insight. She was an avid lover and caregiver to many beloved pets throughout her life, most of which were rescued and welcomed into her home by her and John. She was an incredibly talented artist and shared the gift by teaching techniques and encouraging those with an interest to express themselves through their painting from her home in Shelburne. Joan loved gardening, wildlife, enjoying stories with family and friends from her kitchen table, spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and her “fur babies”. Most of all she enjoyed the love she shared with her life partner and adoring husband, John. She will be sadly missed and ever so fondly remembered by all who loved and cared for her. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, John C. Hushard; daughter, Jody (Frank) Vannorden; son, Kevin Hushard (Anne); three grandchildren, Brennon Vannorden, Daniel and Kevin Hushard; stepson, Cory Jones (Sharon); brother Gary Rogers, all of whom she dearly loved. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne.
