WALL, VIRGINIA ANN, May 5, 1939 – October 6, 2012. We are saddened to announce the passing of Virginia Ann Wall (nee Howlett) on October 6, 2012 after a lengthy and extremely courageous battle with cancer. Mom was born on May 5, 1939 in Swift Current, SK. She is survived by her daughter Holly Lucas, sons Mike Lucas (Barb), Kevin Lucas (Darlana), as well as grandchildren Chelsey Ferron (Craig Shaw) and Marcus, Kaylee Ryzak (Bryce), Cheyenne McLelland (Jordan), Kyle and Dana Lucas and Madison Lucas, sister-in-law Roberta Howlett and family. Virginia was predeceased by her parents Albert and Vadna Howlett, brother John Howlett and niece Melodie Hall. Mom had many health issues the past five years and we were blessed with the numerous health care teams that played such an integral part in giving her extraordinary care. Special thanks to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, Parkridge Centre, Saskatoon Home Care and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Laurie and Sophie for their friendship and support you provided to Mom that made it possible for her to remain in the comforts of her home. Mom was laid to rest, which will give her the peace she so deservedly has earned, at a private family service and interment that was held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, SK. Memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. Arrangements are in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME, Warman, SK (934-4888).
