Keith Williston
WILLISTON, MR. KEITH - 1921 - 2012 - Moncton - Mr. Keith Williston, husband of Thelma Williston, of Riverside Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2012, at the age of 90. Born in Bay du Vin, on May 16, 1922, he was the son of the late Wesley J. and Mary A. (Murdock) Williston. He was a retired employee of both Texaco Canada Ltd. and Imperial Oil Ltd., working as a tank wagon salesman. He was a member of both St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin and St. Andrews Anglican Church, Miramichi; a former member of the I.O.O.F.; a member of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion, Miramichi; a member of the Miramichi Chapter of the Highland Society; a member of both the Chatham Pioneer as well as the Douglastown Friendship Senior Citizens Clubs. He was a Second World War Veteran, serving overseas with the R.C.A.F. He is survived by his wife the former Thelma (Williston) Williston; four daughters, Sheila Searle (Robert), of Moncton, Carol Ann Walker (Lawson), of Calgary, AB, Penny Lea Butler (Don), of Miramichi, Keitha Duncan (Bruce), of Riverview; two half sisters, Dawn Bell (Maurie), of Miramichi and Cheryl Armstrong (Lloyd), of Bathurst; twelve grandchildren, Aaron, Andrea, Tina, Erica, Wesley, Adam, Alex, Diana, Mark, Sheldon, Robin, Janice; fourteen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Ida Bell; one half brother, Vernon Williston.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 2 tyo 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Please note, members of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday evening, at 7:30 pm, for a Veterans’ Service. Funeral service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 2 pm, conducted by the Venerable Richard Steeves, assisted by Rev. Robert Barry. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. John the Evangelist Cemetery Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
