It is with regret that we announce the death of Michael ‘Mickey’ MacNeil, formerly of Benacadie Pond, most recently residing at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in Sydney.
He was the son of the late Malcolm and Christine (MacKenzie) MacNeil.
Mickey is survived by his sisters, Adeline, Anne, Florence and Helen; brother, John; sister-in-law, Peggy; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jimmie, Malkie, Bernie, and three brothers-in-law.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A family graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at St. Barra’s Church Cemetery.
