OLMSTEAD, WINNIFRED IRENE (CAMPBELL) -
Winnie Olmstead passed away peacefully on October 18th at the Loch Lomond Villa at the age of 102. Born in Arthurette, NB, in 1910 to Stephen Campbell and Janie (Brewer) Campbell. She was the third of six children, all of whom predeceased her. Winnifred was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by husband George Olmstead and son-in-law William Hawkings. She is survived by daughter Patricia Hawkings (Del Earle), son David (Huguette) Olmstead as well as grandchildren Randall (Debra), Jeffrey (Ruth), Neil (Lori), Ryan (Christie) and Lisa Hawkings; Valerie (Kolin McCloskey) and Mark (Shari) Olmstead. Also survived by great grandchildren Jordan (Kim), Courtney, Grayson, Kyle, Ryan, Cassandra, Coleton and Kenedy Hawkings; Justin and Jacqueline McCloskey; Luke, Matthew and Samson Olmstead as well as two great-great grandchildren, Joseph and Brooke Hawkings. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law, Jean Campbell and Marg Campbell.
At Winnie’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
