ENS, David passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon at age 72. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, son Brian (Marilyn) (both predeceased) and children David, (great grandchildren: Avery, Karson, Sidney, Courtney and Triton) James, Justin; son Brent (Dallas) and the children Zachery and Jamie; son Blaine (Nadine) and the children Franklin, Josie, Derak and Jenice. Predeceased by parents Peter and Margaret Ens; brother Frank Ens and nephew Steven Ens. Survived by Sarah (Peter) Friesen, Susie (Frank) Zacharias, Anne (Abe) Friesen, John (Irene) Ens, Jake (Sylvia) Ens, Jim (Irene) Ens and numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by father-in-law and mother-in-law Isaac and Helen Wall; brother-in-law Ken Wall. Dave was born at home on May 14, 1940 in Blumenhof, SK. He grew up and went to school there. His first job was with the Dairy Producers; later at Cyprus Motors. Dave and Kathleen were baptized in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Swift Current and then married there on June 17, 1961. Dave was a vital member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church; a volunteer canvasser for various charitable organizations and volunteer meals on wheels. He was an avid bowler for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating and water skiing. His travel highlights included the Alaska trip and East Coast tour. Dave enjoyed hiking, especially during holidays in the Rockies. Family Christmas and summers at the lake were favourite time with his family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Presbyterian World Service and Development). The service was held at St. Andrews, 436 Spadina Cres.
