CAISSIE, RÉGIS - Régis Caissie, 87, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Grand-Barachois passed away on October 21, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born on March 15, 1925 in Caissie Village, he was the son of the late Albert and Eugénie (Cormier) Caissie. He was a retired school bus driver with District #13 and he was also a mechanic. He is survived by a son, Ronald of Grand-Barachois; a daughter, Gisèle Arsenault of Grande-Digue; three sisters: Eugénie Léger and Émerise Gaudet both of Grand-Barachois, Bernice Cormier of Richibuctou Village; four brothers: Charles (Adeline) of Grand-Barachois, Gérald (Angela) of Saint-Antoine, Émery (Corinne) of St-Anne-de-Kent et Jean-Baptiste of Richibuctou Village; four grandchildren: Kim Arsenault (Pierre Léger), Marie-Paul Arsenault (Tommy Clements), Natasha Cormier (Mark), Jean-Luc Caissie (Chantal Richard); three great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kayla and Vanessa, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 11 sisters: Marie, Celina, Elmire, Edmée, Lorainne, Thérése, Laudia, Jeanne, Yvonne, Odila and Mélina (Mina), by three brothers: Alyre, André and Zoël.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396, Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY The funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation R.C. Church, Grande-Digue, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
