LONDON, DONNA MARIE - Donna Marie London, wife of the late Arthur Lake, passed away on October 24, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 21, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lillian (Wilcox) London. Donna was one of the founders of the Friendly Singles, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Portland branch; she also sold poppies with the Ladies Auxilliary. Donna is survived by her children Christine (Myron) Holts of Ontario, Stanley Goguen of Ontario, Tony (Bonnie) Lake of Lakeside, Terry (Leanne) Lake of Nova Scotia, Ted Lake (Cherrie) of French Village, Stephen (Anna) Lake of Lakeside, step-daughter Marg Wassing of Ontario, brothers Gordon (Bernie) London, Fred Outhouse, Joey London, sisters Adeline Outhouse, Lorna Parks, Shirley Monroe, Helen (Louie) Savoie, as well as several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was pre-deceased by four brothers, and two sisters. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Terry and Betty from Bayshore Home Health for their excellent care.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 2 to 6 PM. A private family graveside service will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
