Paula Anne (Morris) Szawara passed away on October 26, 2012, at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, with her family present.
Paula was born at home in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island, on July 21, 1940. She is survived by Albert, her husband of 48 years, her daughters Bonnie (Nelson Parker) and Katrina (Chuck Nyland) and her grandson Nicholas. She is also survived by her sister Katharine of Toronto and many nieces and nephews in Toronto, Prince Edward Island and Michigan.
Predeceased by her parents, P.L. and Ella Morris, and her brother, George Pope Morris.
Paula was a kind and gentle woman who never spoke badly about anyone, loved her family, enjoyed traveling, especially back to Prince Edward Island, cruises, good food, a glass of wine and shopping.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Critical Care Trauma Centre for all of the care and compassion they showed Paula during her latest stay. Special thanks to Fr. Vince Gullikers for his spiritual support and guidance.
At Paula’s request, there will be no funeral home visitation. Visitors will be received on Tuesday, October 30, in St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd. at Ernest, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., at which time a mass of Christian burial will be conducted. Private interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
