It is with sadness that we announce the death of our husband and father Clifford William Crompton on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Quebec.
Dad was on his way home to Cape Breton after a wonderful visit with his grandchildren as well as friends and colleagues from Agriculture Canada. During his stay he received his 50-year service award from Doric Lodge Masonic Temple.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Alina; daughters, Karen (Bob) Rainboth and Valerie (John) MacKinnon; stepdaughter, Lara Russell and grandchildren, Owen, Emma, Madison and Paige.
A visitation for Clifford will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney, N.S. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Drummond Memorial United Church, Ross Ferry, with Rev. Louis Ihasz officiating. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
