EDITH CROSBIE

Passed on: October 27th, 2012

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on October 27, 2012. Ede was born in the Pelican Lake District on September 14, 1919. Ede and Milt were married on May 14, 1942 in Moose Jaw. They lived in Yorkton, where Milt was stationed in the Air Force. In 1949 they moved back to the Crosbie farm in the Pelican Lake District where they farmed until moving into Moose Jaw in 1978. While on the farm she had a beautiful garden and yard. They enjoyed many holidays with family and friends. After Milt's passing Ede enjoyed many camping trips with Marg Flack and the Moose Jaw Camping Group. She always enjoyed meeting and visiting with family and friends, never hesitating to meet new people and becoming a friend to many. Ede moved into Langdon Towers in 2004. She was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors in the building. Ede's family meant everything to her. She was always interested in everything that was going on in their lives. She was always there to help when her family needed her. Ede will be missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband, Milton Crosbie, daughter Karen Hjelte, grandson Leslie Ball, sister, Berthina (Herman) Hallborg, brother Ross (Kay) Flack, Helen Flack, Betty and Lloyd Johnstone and Gordon Crosbie. Left to cherish her memory and miss her dearly are her daughter Geri (Dennis) Ball, her family Merridy (Darren) Most, William and Ashton Most, Jason (Trina) Ball, Justin, Shane and Danika Ball, grandson Blaine Hjelte and son-in-law Lynn Hjelte, sister Marie (Bill) Benson, brother Gerald Flack, Earl (Joan) Crosbie, Doug (Edith) Crosbie, Fran (Stan) Martin, Joyce Crosbie and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ede’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday November 2, 2012 at 10:30 am. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to Minto United Church, or to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated. In living memory of Ede, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
