It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Taylor announces his passing on Monday October 29, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years. Born at Port aux Basques NL, Albert was the son of the late Albert and Blanche Taylor. He was also predeceased by sister Margaret Anderson, brother Gordon Taylor, granddaughter Peggy Sue, great-granddaughter Lucille, mother-in-law Caroline Pearce, father-in-law Isaac Pearce, brothers-in-law Robert and Frank Pearce. He leaves to mourn with precious memories his loving wife Catherine of 52 years, sons Albert (Patsy) Taylor, Patrick (Diane) Taylor both of Port aux Basques, daughters Diane Anderson (Budd), Darlene Sheaves (Henry), Donna (Alvin) Francis all of Port aux Basques, Ann Abbott (Jerry) Grand Prairie AB, Daisy Pearce St. John's, brothers Jim (Georgina) Taylor Codroy Valley, Cecil (Elizabeth) Taylor Port aux Basques, sister Betty Taylor Port aux Basques, Joanne Taylor (Alan Rowe) N.S., brother in law Stanley Anderson, 16 grandchildren Kayla, Dean, Laura, Lorna, Sarah, Sheldon, Jenna, Andrew, Emily, Clinton, Destiny, Tiffany, Jonathan, Jerome, Timmy, Jeremy, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Lionel (Sylvia) Pearce Port aux Basques, Leo (Patsy) Pearce, Nelson (Marie) Pearce both of N.S., Reginald (Frances) Pearce Winnipeg, Hiram (Ann) Pearce Port aux Basques, sisters-in-law Esther (Jerry) Chretian ON, Ellen (Reg) Chevalier, Port aux Basques, Eva (Donnie) Ingram N.S., Esther Pearce Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday from 7-9 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Friday November 2, 2012 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery Barachois Hill.
