Lenora "Nornie"  Poulos

POULOS, LENORA “NORNIE” JEAN - Lenora Poulos of Fredericton, wife of John Poulos, passed away November 3, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. She was born in Saint John, daughter of the late Ralph and Jean (Betts) Campbell. A loving mother and devoted wife, Lenora was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her entire family. Being the oldest sister, she was always there for her brothers and sisters, helping to raise them in her younger years. Being selfless, Lenora sacrificed her personal career in banking to help John with the family business working tirelessly to succeed. Always willing to give anything a try and being a great sport, Lenora could be found doing just about anything with her husband and kids, from curling to camping, she was always willing to give it a whirl. Always with a smile and a kind word, Lenora had a positive impact on everyone she met and will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ruest, Dr. Gowan and the nurses and staff of 3E at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. Also wish to thank Dr. Dolan, Dr. Comeau, Dr. Smith and the nurses and staff of the Oncology Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband, John; sons, Peter of Lincoln, NB and Stephen (Cheryl) of Laurel, Maryland, USA; siblings, Burton (Kathy) of Barnesville, Joseph (Liliane) of Montreal, Terry (Kathy) of Kingston, Paul of Kingston, Anne of Halifax, Hazel (Greg Murphy) of Halifax, Roscoe (Joan) of Kingston, Eloise (Roger) Tracy of Fredericton, Juanita MacLean of Fredericton, Rebecca of Kingston; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. The funeral will be held 2:30pm, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Erb’s Cove Baptist Church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Memorials may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
