GOGUEN, J. ALYRE - J. Alyre Goguen, 83, of Villa du Repos, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Albert and Ainée Goguen. Alyre was best known as owner of Goguen Battery Shop, Scoudouc. Alyre will be sadly missed by his daughters, Annette Geneau (Claude) of Nanaimo, BC, Thérèse LeBlanc (Omer), Alice Melanson (Mike), both of Dieppe; sons, Danny Goguen (Denise) of Scoudouc and Normand Goguen (Ellen) of Victoria, BC; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Arsenault, Linda MacMullin (Dave) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Noella Goguen; an infant son, Normand; sisters, Jeanita Gagnon, Diana Savoie; brothers, Camille, Raymond, Alcide (Maria) and Ronald (Eva).
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at Eglise Ste Thérèse Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am, Rev. Arthur Bourgeois officating. Interment, St. Jacques Roman Catholic Cemetery, Scoudouc.
