Little Harbour – Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth Walsh-Ferguson age 54 of MacNeil Pt. Rd. Little Harbour.
Cathy’s death occurred on Sunday, November 4th, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late John and Jean (Avery) Walsh. Cathy was employed with Canada Post for the past 32 years.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
With her strong faith and her deep love of family and friends, she enjoyed life and appreciated the many small things that came her way.
Cathy is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Ferguson. A daughter Carly at home. A son Ryan at home. Sisters: Becky (John) Grant, Theresa (Wayne) Wadden, Patsy (David ) Turnbull. Brothers: Jack (Beth) Walsh, Francis Walsh, Robert Walsh (Anne Chisholm), Stephen Walsh, Philip (Angela) Walsh of Ottawa. Brother-in-law: James “Jimmy” Ferguson of St. John N.B.
Mother and father –in-law Thelma and Harry Ferguson of Little Harbour. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, a brother Michael Joseph Walsh and nephew Matthew Walsh.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and7-9 P.M. on Tuesday, November 6th in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday November 7th at 10:30 A.M. from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Church Brook Cemetery, Little Harbour.
