JEFFERY, VERA - Mrs. Vera Jeffery of Youngs Cove passed away on November 4, 2012 at the age of 71. Born in Hunters Home, she was the daughter of the late John and Isabel (Perry) Wood. Vera is survived by her husband Glen, her daughter, Pamela Jeffery of Australia; two sons: Thomas (Lorna) of Youngs Cove and Derek (Sae) of Port Coquitlam, BC; three brothers: Bev Wood (Eva) of Coles Island, Charlie Wood (Marjorie) of Hunters Home and Jerry Wood (Judy) of Drurys Cove Rd; three sisters: Hilda Thorne (Ron) of Edmonton, Lizzie Steen of Apohaqui and Dorothy Daigle (Edmund) of Sussex; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Leon Sleep of Coles Island; as well as several nieces and nephews. Vera is predeceased by her brother Earl, her sister, Bernice Sleep and by her brothers-in-law, John Steen and Clarence Beach. Vera was a member of All Saint Anglican Church in Bagdad and the Postmaster at the Youngs Cove Post Office from 1974 until her retirement in 2001.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8. A service celebrating Vera's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00. The interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Bagdad, NB
