SANNES, RUBY JUNETTE - June 13, 1926 – October 31, 2012. Ruby Sannes passed away peacefully at the Rosetown and District Health Centre Extended Care Wing on October 31, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born on the family farm at Hazlet, SK. Ruby attended school in Hazlet and lived on the farm with her parents helping her mother with housekeeping activities. In 1975 she moved to Rosetown and worked at the Wheatland Regional Centre Workshop for many years. Ruby is survived by her sisters Alice Smith, Swift Current, SK and Orla (Svend) Tychsen, Delta, BC, by sisters-in-law Myrtle Sannes, Moose Jaw, SK and Donamae Sannes, Ottawa, ON, her special friend Jim Horton, Rosetown, SK and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Oscar and Olga Sannes and brothers Arnold and Raymond. Ruby enjoyed visits from her family and friends and until her later years never missed remembering family birthdays by sending greetings. She enjoyed the many visits from her cousins Phyllis and Janice over the years and enjoyed the many social activities organized by the Kinash Group Home. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Extended Care Wing for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Ruby. A Memorial Service was held at Rosetown Nursing Wing in Rosetown on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with a Graveside Service at Mount Pleasant Burial Park in Swift Current on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Ruby may be directed to Rosetown Nursing Wing Activity Fund.
