Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5th, 2012, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, John Piercey at the age of 65 years. John loved many things, hunting, fishing and especially his work at Western Health where many friendships were built, from this, many stories and memories were shared and cherished. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Sandra (nee Morrison); son: Stephen (Michelle); daughter: Jennifer; three precious grandchildren: Elizabeth, Andrew and James; brothers and sisters: Keith (Catherine) Piercey, Gwen (David) Alcock, Jane Piercey, Georgina (Norman) MacFie, and Lisa Piercey (Gareth Cook); brothers and sisters-in-law: Valerie O’Brien, Maureen (Leslie) Dennis, Colleen Morrison (Adrian Turpin), Robert Morrison (Rose) and Wayne Morrison; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Eric and Vida Piercey; brother: Eric; mother and father-in-law: Zena and Christopher Morrison; brother-in-laws: David Morrison (Evelyn), James O’Brien and niece Susan Piercey. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street on Friday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Tanya White officiating with cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Roofing Fund or to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
