LEGER, ROSA - 1938 - 2012 - It is with sad regret that we announce the passing of Rosa Leger, 74, of Dieppe, on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born on June 26th, 1938, in Fox Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and the late Dauphine (née: LeBlanc) Gauvin. She was a member of the Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church and of the Golden Age Club in Saint-Anselme. She took great pleasure in knitting, reading and cooking. She also loved to play cards with her friends at Résidence Saint-Anselme where she had lived for the past 14 years. She will be sadly missed by her only daughter, Joanne (Reno) Gaudet of Dieppe; her precious grandchildren: Tina (Alex) and Mathieu (Rachelle), and her great granddaughter Isabelle. She leaves to morn her sister, Maria (Paul) LeBlanc and her brother, Gérald (Janice) Gauvin; several brothers and sisters-in-law; a very special friend Eloi Richard and his family who were so kind, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Freddy” in 1998.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, (Dieppe, NB), on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at 11 am. Interment at Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
