ZORAN GAJIC

ZORAN GAJIC

It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend Zoran Gajic.

He was predeceased by his father Stevan.

He is survived by his wife Branka, son Nikola, mother Ana, sister Jasna, nephew Orion, family Lazovic, Cudovski/ Ceranic, as well as many relatives and friends.

Zoran was born in 1957 in Travnik, Yugoslavia. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1996 where Zoran worked around the automotive industry. In Europe he was an auto mechanic and drove transport trucks and that is what he continued to do in Kamloops. He worked extremely hard everyday and took pride in what he did. When he was not on the road he was fixing cars usually with and for his friends. With such a passion for automotives, he was an avid fan of Formula One racing and never missed the opportunity to get up at early hours and watch a race.

There was not a vehicle that he could not fix and find a creative solution after analyzing every detail in his beloved garage. He could fix everything that was broken and build anything, since he was a natural handyman and a technical wizard.

Zoran was remarkably loyal to his family, his friends and his employer. Even if hurt or ill he never complained and would never miss a single day at work. He was a great host, welcoming, warm, quiet and unassuming. His abiding love for his wife Branka and son Nikola sustained him. In the most important way, Zoran was humble, quiet and generous.

God broke our hearts to prove us that he only takes the best. The warmest heart stopped beating, the hard working hands now rest. If we only knew it would be the last time, we would be there to share your day and pray for more time together. And even then we would know you would say, "Don't cry I'm only sleeping we'll meet again someday." And till that day well love you the same and pray that you peacefully rest in heaven.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Zoran's life will be held on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Schoening Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Zoran's final place of burial will take place in his hometown.
