Dale Frederick Burke
84, Charlottetown, died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.
Dale was formerly of Windsor and Kentville, N.S. Born in Windsor, N.S., in 1928, he was the son of the late William and Marjorie (McCarthy) Burke. Dale operated a gas station and convenience store in Gypsum Mines, N.S., for 25 years. For the past number of years, he was a resident of Park West Lodge, Charlottetown, PE, where he received special care by the staff.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Gladys (Smith) Burke; sisters Kaye White, Falmouth, N.S., and Valerie Newcomb (Roland), Windsor, N.S.; stepsons Victor (Connie) Harris, Falmouth, N.S., and Richard (Berna) Harris, Charlottetown, PE; and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, N.S., Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 2:30 p.m.
