Anna Léger

LÉGER, ANNA - Anna Léger, 78, wife of the late Léo Léger, of Trois-Ruisseaux, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born June 6, 1934 in Bas Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Léandre and Ozithe (Vautour) Cormier. Before her retirement she worked at Atlantic Springwall. She was an avid bingo player, loved to do word puzzles and crochet. She is survived by four daughters: Camilla Brine (Allen Walton) of Cap-Pelé, Léona LeBlanc (Léo) and Jeannine Richard (Lucien) both of Petit-Cap and Lina LeBlanc (Claude) of Trois-Ruisseaux; one son, Léandre Léger (Claudia) of Cap-Pelé; one sister, Yvonne Breau (late Tony) of Moncton; three brothers: Dismas (Yvette) Cormier and Léonce Cormier (Rose) both of Bas Cap-Pelé and Hervé Cormier (Jeannine) of Kitchener, ON; one haft-brother, Léo-Paul Cormier (Maria) of Shediac; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one granddaughter with whom she resided with, Jessica Richard (Michel) of Trois-Ruisseaux; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Anna is also predeceased by two infant children: Bobby and Bernice, a daughter, Simonne Léger, a brother, Joseph, a sister, Aurore, a grandchild, Isabelle, two son in-law, Jean Guy Léger and Pierre Richard.
The family will receive condolences at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours are Monday from 7 to 9 pm. ONLY The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Therese d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pele, on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Anna, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the caring staff of the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital 3C and Palliative Care, as well as all of those who expressed their support with their visits, food and prayers.
