SPIKER: Ray Spiker passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Phyllis Spiker of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Allyson (Richard) McCaw of Medicine Hat, Wayne (Shawn) Spiker of Elbow, SK, Terry (Karen) Spiker of Calgary and Shelley Spiker of Kamloops; eight grandchildren, Cody Spiker, Coral Spiker, Tanis Spiker, Aaron McCaw, Devon McCaw, Jarrett Spiker, Kurt Spiker and Lexis Spiker-Woitas; one brother Art (Jean) Spiker of Swift Current and one sister, Peggy (David) Bay of Moose Jaw as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was born on March 2, 1935 in Cabri, SK. On November 2, 1956 he married Phyllis Moen in Stewart Valley, SK. With Phyllis by his side, they farmed at Pennant, SK until retiring to Medicine Hat. Together they raised four children and embraced small town community life. His door was always open and the coffee always on. Nothing made Ray happier than a good party and dancing with his wife. He touched many lives and will be truly missed. The funeral service will be held in the Pennant Community Hall, Pennant, SK on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Pennant Cemetery.
