Passed away at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012. Edward Nelson Ash, age 83 years. Predeceased by his wife Dolorosa (Dots) and parents: Dorothy and Edward. Leaving to mourn with loving memories; children: Ken (Carina) Paris, France; Don (Frances), St. John’s; Janet (Max) Parsons, Freeport, Grand Bahamas; and Colin (Sandy), Edmonton, Alberta; cherished grandchildren: Ken, Michael, Jason, Jessica, Kathryn, Ryan, Taylor, Matthew and Michael; siblings: Cyril (Nancy), Edmonton; Lillian Norris (Jack), St. John’s; Reg (Gladys) Oakville, and Don (Olga), Mount Pearl; special sister-in-law Eva Nash, St. John’s and a large circle of other family and friends. At Nel’s request cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, the Staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, and to Dr. Aaron McKim.
