It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Susan Bernetta MacKinnon, 66, of St. Margaret’s Village, on Dec. 2, 2012, at Buchanan Memorial Hospital.
Wife of the late Murdock Roderick MacKinnon, born in Smelt Brook, Jan. 2, 1946, daughter of the late Peter and Flora MacIntosh.
She is survived by her seven children, Roddy (Janice), Tony (Winnie), Christina (Jimmy), Helen (Ricky), Carol (Robert), Christopher (Jolene), Scott (Mandy); 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Marie (Wendell), Alice (Patty), Selma (Kevin), Rita (Edward), Leona (Russell), Joyce (Nelson), Murdock (Donna), Billy (Bertha).
She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Johnny and Alicia and sister, Annette.
Visitation will be held at the home of the late Susan MacKinnon, St. Margaret’s Village on Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 6, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. in the Aspy Bay United Church with Rev. Margie Wood officiating. Burial in St. Margaret’s Village United Church Cemetery.
