BRYAN HERBERT

Passed on: December 3rd, 2012

Alfred passed away peacefully at Providence Place in Edgar Hall on Monday, December 3rd, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Ruby Bryan; sister, Helen McJannet; and brother-in-law, Johnny McJannet. Alfred is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Shane (Crystal); grandchildren: Alexis, Tristin and Sophie Bryan; brother, Doug (Marilyn); stepdaughter, Karin (Ken); grandchildren: Shannon, Dale and Kristyn (Derek); great-grandson, Jaxon; stepson, Scott; grandchildren, Blaine and Kyla; great-granddaughter, Alyiah; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. Alfred went to University and then came back to the home farm, which raised cattle and grain. Some years later, the cattle were sold and he went into straight grain farming with Shane. The land was very important to Alfred and he kept it through good and bad years. He also was very community minded, helping with many projects in Tugaske and Central Butte. He loved playing hockey, going to games with Shane, writing letters to The Western Producer, his column in Grainews and spending time with his friends. He also wrote and published 5 books. Family was most important to Alfred, especially Alexis, Tristin and Sophie. He is loved and will be greatly missed. Thank you to the Providence Place Guardian Grove and Edgar Hall staff for the care and understanding given to Alfred while he was a resident there. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tugaske Community Hall, Tugaske, SK. Reverend Rick McCorrister will officiate and a private family interment will take place in Tugaske Cemetery. No flowers please. For those so wishing, donations in Alfred’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
