Born in Keokee, Virginia, USA on July 9, 1918. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Charles Carl Riddle Jr., aged 94 years. American Air Force Veteran, American Legion Member (Chaplain), Member of Lodge Tasker and Avalon Lodge of the Masonic Order, Mazol Shrine Member (Chaplain Emeritis), Life Member of Lions Club (Past President), Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Hall of Fame (Builder). Predeceased by brother Carl Riddle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 62 years Jean (nee Boone); sister Louise Jones, Kingsport, Tennessee; special niece Teresa McCann, Kingsport Tennessee; sisters-in-law: Olga Hiscock (Phil), Doris Osborne (Dick) and Shirley Graham (Leo), Las Vegas, Nevada; special friend Bill Smith; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from St. Thomas’ Anglican Church on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
