May 4, 1945 - December 14, 2012. Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his father John; mother Gertrude; brothers: Bill and Tom and infant sister Mary Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 34 years, Brenda (Crane); children: Heather (Paul Duffett) and Adam (Stacey Rose). Also leaving to mourn his brothers: Gerry (Pat), John (Monica), Hubert (Sheilagh), Greg (Marina), Stan (Rita), Ron (Min); his sisters: Bernice Greeley, Jeanette Fitzpatrick (Len), Barbara Roberts (Bill), Patsy Moores (Den), Joan Budden (Wendell), Ann Croft (Kieran); brother-in-law Peter Crane (Lana); sisters in law: Patricia Riche (David), Helen Crane, Helen Fewer Crane, Penny Mosher and Vera Dawson; many nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of relatives and friends, especially his “cabinet” buddies from the Southern Shore. He was the life of the party, loved by all and will be dearly missed. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, December 16th from 7 - 9 p.m., Monday, December 17th 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road on Tuesday, December 18th at 9:30 a.m., with cremation to follow.
