Lois Jean Nastrom, our Family's Matriarch, dedicated Wife, loving Mother, loyal Grandmother and outstanding Great Grandmother began a new life and left ours as we know it on December 15, 2012. Her commitment to family, her focus on her career, her honesty and her support are only a few influences we are fortunate to have experienced throughout her life.

Born on October 15, 1930 in Deepdale, Manitoba, Lois was the daughter to Fred & Agnes Ward and sister to Bernice, Kenneth, Lorne, Helen, Elaine, Ruth and Donald. Married October 18, 1949, Lois and Raymond began their life's journey together. Recently they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Lois has blessed the lives of her husband Raymond; daughter Janice Lawson (Bill), sons Jim Nastrom (Sally), Ken Nastrom (Danita); grandchildren: Shannon Wright (Peter), Jason Lawson (Tracey), Sasha Ruttan (Geoff), David Nastrom (Crystal), Jennifer Sullivan (Mike), Shane Nastrom (Nicole), Christopher Nastrom (Cindy), Cody Nastrom; great grandchildren: Kezia & Olivia Wright, Beckett & Mckenna Lawson, Brandon & Logan Sullivan.

Family would like to invite friends to join us as we Celebrate Lois' legacy on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 454 Columbia Street, Kamloops. A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Following the service, please join us at the church for a small social gathering.

A bursary will be created in honor of Lois for a mature nursing student raising a family. The recipient of the bursary would be a student attending Thompson Rivers University or Vancouver Island University, (formerly Malaspina College). All donations can be made payable to "Bursary in Honor of Mrs. Lois J. Nastrom" and forwarded to: 2041 Sagewood Manor, Airdrie, Alberta, T4B 3A6.
