Chapman, Elsie Mae (White), 81, Bible Hill, formerly of Debert, passed away December 23, 2012 at home. Born in White Settlement, she was the last surviving member of her family and daughter of the late Austin and Edith (O’Brien) White. Elsie was a loving mother twenty four hours a day. She enjoyed going for drives and visiting her friends and family. In her earlier years she worked at Crossley Carpets. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by daughters, Bonna (Randy Creelman) Chapman, Sheila (Colin) Rushton; sons, Rex (Dolly), Calvin (Ali), Neil, Mike (Betty); many grandchildren, great grandchildren ,nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of thirty five years, Carroll Chapman; sisters, Audrey and Violet; brothers, Basil and Milford. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27th from 7 – 9 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A graveside service will be held in the spring, 2013, in MiddleRoadCemetery, Debert. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.S.
