VAN YPEREN, MILDRED IRIS - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mildred Iris Van Yperen (Wishart), wife of the late Henry Van Yperen, which occurred on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 11, 1922 in Hampton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Blanche (Crowe) Wishart. Mildred is survived by three sons, Alan Van Yperen and Laurence Van Yperen, both at home, and Winton (Carolyn) Wishart of Saint John; and by one daughter, Laura Poulin; three granddaughters, Amanda (Wayne), Kathleen (Andrew) and Angeline (Paul); and by several great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles (Bud) Wishart; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; two brothers, Eric and Arthur Wishart; two sisters, Helen Kelly and Evelyn Bowland; sister-in-law, Irene Wishart; and son-in-law, Philip Poulin. Thank you to the workers at Riley’s Home Care, especially Darlene, Sarah, Brenda and Loraine for the care they provided for our mother at her residence. Also a special thank you to the staff of 5CN and the Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment to take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
