
Elmer Pollock
POLLOCK, ELMER LAWRENCE - Mr. Elmer Lawrence Pollock of Apohaqui passed away at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton on December 26, 2012 at the age of 95. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, USA on January 15, 1917, he was the son of the late Percy and Edith (Thom) Pollock and was the husband of the late Evelyn (McKnight) Pollock who passed away in 1996. Elmer is survived by his grandson, Peter Fisher of Moncton; his brother, Gordon of Barnesville; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Elmer was also predeceased by his daughter, Shirley Fisher in 1996; and by his son-in-law, David Fisher in 2009. Elmer served WWII 23rd Field Corp. Royal Canadian Engineers and Canadian Provost Corp. and was a retired dairy farmer.
A service celebrating Elmer’s life will be held from Riverbank Cemetery, Norton in the spring. Donations made to NB Alzheimer’s Association, or the Canadian Cancer society, particularly Prostate or Breast funds or to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
