It is with great sadness that the family of Gilbert Stanley Sweetapple announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on December 27, 2012 at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 65 years; His children: Judy Hynes, Wayne (Terri), Lorraine (John) Morall, Brian (Marie), nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother Cyril. Also a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Edgar and Emma Sweetapple, sisters: Ivy Burt, Louise Handrigan, Eva Sweetapple; brother Chesley, grandson Robert Hynes; son-in-law Robert Hynes. At his request cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Salvation Army Temple O’Connell Drive Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2 P.M with Major Frank Johnson officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
