Lynds, Aubrey Leroy, 81 of Truro, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, NB. Born in East Mines, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart Lynds. Aubrey was a resident of Gables Lodge, Amherst. He was a woodsman having worked for Ritchie Barnhill in Debert. He loved to hunt and loved to go for drives with his wife and friends and reminisce about old times.
He is survived by his wife of 38-years the former Joyce Stapley; brothers, Willie (Jeannie) of Onslow Mountain, Freeman (Kelly) of Hilden; sisters, Dorothy Graham (Noah Perry) of Swan Hills, AB, Helen Weatherby of Newcastle, NB, Nellie Roode (Arnold) of Onslow Mountain; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters Violet Chisholm and Annie Staples.
No visitation or funeral service by family request. Burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
