Margaret Polley

POLLEY, MARGARET - Margaret Polley, 70, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on October 11, 1942 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Noël) Landry. Margaret was always very active in sports, including teaching basketball and playing on the Schooners Champion ladies’ team. Extremely active in darts, bowling, curling, gardening, camping, hunting, fly fishing and a very proficient fly tyer. She was co-operator of 62 Sport Sales with husband Charlie. Over the years, she and Charlie built their city home and beach cottage. During the past few years, she took four trips to Florida and engaged in serious salt water angling. More recently, she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends as well as being a grandparent to Leena and Reed. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles; two children: Patricia (Seldon Stevens) of Waverley, NS, and Marc of Shediac; nine sisters and brothers: Raymond (Catherine), George, Edgar, Roger, Louise Landry and Diane Bérubé (Normand), all of Moncton, Alfred (Barbara) of Chilliwack, BC, Norman (Louise) of Shediac and Gerald (Peggy) of Notre-Dame; two grandchildren: Leena and Reed, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. In memory of Margaret, a contribution to the Ovarian Cancer Society would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
