It is with deep sadness that we announce that Fe "Toby" Tobias passed away peacefully on Christmas Day. Born in Pagsanjan, Laguna, the Philippines, Fe devoted her life to caring for others.

As an operating room nurse at Royal Inland Hospital, she was praised for her work ethic and skill. She worked long hours, which enabled her to bring her brother and his family to Canada. As matriarch, she took an active role in caring for the family and ensured that the bonds among its members stayed strong.

Fe is survived by her mother Virginia, her brother Rodolfo (Erlinda); her nephews Randy (Gazla) and Ritchie (Linda); her niece Cheryl; and her great-nephews: Oscar, Jorden, Logan and a baby due in March. She will be missed by friends and family in both the Philippines and Canada.

A Service will be held on January 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2881 Main Street, Vancouver.
