At Prince County Hospital Summerside, on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, of Clarence Joseph Pineau, Summerside, formerly of Bloomfield, age 87, veteran of World War 2, husband of Mildred Mary (Gallant). Born Sept. 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Urban and Virginia (LeClair). Dear father to Donna (Don) Kennedy, Cornwall, ON; Jimmy (Janette), Brampton, ON; Susan (Mike) Quinn, Bloomfield; and Lori (Roy) O¹Meara, Onoway, AB. Loving grandfather to Jennifer (Alan) Harper, Jill (Chris) Fraser, Danny Quinn, Ryan (Kim) O'Meara, Meaghan (Damion) Fraczek, Vanessa Pineau, Sarah Pineau and five great-grandchildren: Valerie, Ben, Olivia, Rebecca and Addie. Clarence is also survived by sisters: Elaine (Don) Olsen, Bloomfield; Bernadette Noonan, Kinkora; and Alicia Lynch, Borden-Carleton. He is also survived by brothers-and sisters-in-law: Audrey Pineau, Bloomfield; Alyre (Margaret) Gallant, Scarborough, ON; Beatrice Doiron, Guelph, ON; Marie Nabozney, Ohio, US; Edna (Bill) Matthews, Halifax, NS; Marjorie Gallant, Summerside; Marion Gallant, Duvar and Clifford (Rita) Gallant, Aurora, ON. Predeceased by his parents, sisters: Viola, Theresa, Marie, Yvonne and brother Reginald. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday until 10 a.m. then to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Comrades of St. Anthony's Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade Sunday evening before visitation at 6:45 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. In memory of Clarence, donations to Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
