Mary Esther Donovan
1938-2013
Mary E. Donovan, 74, of River Hebert, passed away at the Northumberland Hall, Amherst on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Born in River Hebert she was a daughter of the late Harris Sr & Helena (Melanson) O'Brien.
She was a member of the Maple Sugar Cloggers and the Brookside Curling Club. She loved dancing and music.
Mary had been employed with the Highland View Regional Hospital for many years.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and will be sadly missed by her 3 daughters; Sheryl Davis (Dwain), River Hebert, Tairyja Donovan, Amherst, Twilla Quinn (Steven), Upper Sackville, NS; 2 granddaughters, Tia and Kelsi Davis; four sisters Inez (James) Speare , River Hebert, Doris White, Amherst, Joyce (Gornal) Burbine , River Hebert, and Debbie (Conrad) Carde, River Hebert, as well as a brother John (Jill) O'Brien, England.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Richards & Barbara White, as well as four brothers, Harris Jr., George, Donald, and Jimmy.
Mary's arrangements have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert, (902-251-2877) from where visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2013. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert at 11 am on Friday. Father Phil Thibodeau officiating.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Brian Ferguson and the staff at Shannex Northumberland Hall for their continuing care, compassion, and support.
